Wicked on Mother's Day - where to eat?
My teen daughter (she's 19) and myself will be going to Wicked on Mother's Day in Chicago.. This is our first time to the city and we can't wait!
Any thoughts on where to eat? We are staying at the Intercontinental and the play is at 2:00 p.m. (I'm not sure if we should go out before or after). I probably don't want to spend more than $60-80 for the two of us but would like something that would be fun and not a chain. Thanks for any advice!

No specific suggestions, but it is generally known that Mother's Day is one of the worst days of the year to eat out. Service is likely to be slow, and frankly I wouldn't want the worry of being late for the curtain. I say go eat after the show -- 4:30 or 5:00 just might be a good time to have dinner and possibly avoiding the mad noon rush and the 7 PM crowds.
The Atwood Cafe is in your budget and has a nice atmosphere, is close, and has good food.

I second the Atwood Cafe. You can't get any more convenient - but it's very small so I would try to make reservations NOW if they'll let you. We did the same thing last year. When I called the week of, and they were booked. We ended up eating at the "upscale" food court at Marshall Fields (now Macys).....only because we ended up being short on time and I refused to go to McDonalds.
