Wiamea Canyon Kauai
 

I know I saw some posts on here last year regarding Kauai possibly starting to charge an admission fee to drive up to the Wiamea Canyon.

Has anyone heard any updates on this?

I can't imagine charging a fee to to up. However, I might be willing to pay someone to check my brakes before going down.

We went in August and there was no fee. I have not heard of any plans to do this.

The proposed fees were going to help pay for the proposed expanded parking lots and (erk!) hotel.

All those "improvements" have been tabled for now (yay!) -- so no entrance fee being charged.
