I don't think that is the way it works. I think that if you want to see something you posted, you are supposed to click on your NAME and everything you have posted pops up. I don't think typing in the question would work. So I don't think you are doing anything wrong.

Typing your name in the search will work, but for some reason it's not as reliable. Take my sigh on name Utahtea for instance. I've posted 35 post this month, but if you type in my name it only shows I've two this month! Go Figure!

The best way is as aileen679 pointed out. Click on your name and it will show you in chronological order your posts.

Shar,

The search function here is inconsistent at best. Robespierre on the Europe board has a great suggestion: go to google.com, advanced search, type in your keyword(s), then limit it to the "fodors.com" domain. Works like a charm.

Just click on your own screen name, either at the top of the page or in a post. The search function is not very reliable unfortunately. You're not doing anything wrong.

I've a feeling that a lot of the search indexing probably happens during slow periods. Very recent threads, or messages within the threads won't show up immediately on a search ... and probably true on the google searches too.

Clicking on a screen name always seems to work, immediately.
