Why is all the text sudenly big and bold?

Sorry for asking a boring admin question, but my cat rubbed against the keyboard, and now all the text on this site is large and bold--does anyone know how to undo whatever he did?? Thank you!

You will have to discuss this with your cat.

This happened to me once, there was no pet involved! and I cannot remember how we fixed it..lots of trying this and that, someone will tell you.
But if I were you, get the cat his own puter ~
Scarlett. always helpful LOL

He he he he!

Hold down the control key and spin the mouse wheel.

Wheeeeeee! Better than drugs!

(I did the same thing a couple of months ago is the only reason I know)

Or, click on "view", then "text size", then choose "smaller" or whichever works for you. I think adware can change this. I'd do a virus/adware scan too (you do this regularly, right?).

E -- I had the same thing happen to me a few months ago. Joan is correct in her instructions on how to "fix" it. In my case, I decided after a few days that I liked the larger text, and I ended up leaving it that way for weeks. What caught my eye about your message is that I think one of my cats was responsible for supersizing the print on my computer, too. Maybe our cats are nearsighted, and did it on purpose

I love Cats, good for them. A friend in Provence sent me my favorite postcard. It shows a cat leering, claws on the edge of the desk where the PC is, gazing on the "Mouse."

Seriously, when you hold down the control key and rotate the wheel on the mouse, it makes the font either larger or smaller.

Forward makes it smaller and backward enlarges the font.

Thank you GoTravel!! I'd been wondering what was going on with my font size. I must have gotten carried away one time when I was scrolling throught the posts.

There is something much larger at work here.
CATS!
They are on your computers when you are not there! Heaven only knows what they are up to! Have you checked your credit card bills ?
Don't say I didn't warn you~

This is just TOOOO bizarre. The same thing happened to me yesterday and I didn't know what to do. I just held down the control key like you suggested and spun that wheel of fortune and I am finally back to normal small sized font. We JUST got a little exotic shorthaired kitty last weekend - I wonder if little Chloe was responsible for my font getting bigger!

Fodors folk RULE.

OK -just when I thought I had it fixed... ALL the text on my screen is huge now including the task bar, start screen, etc, and I tried the "hold the control and roll the mouse" trick but it only changes the size of the font on the screen, not the huge task bars and everything else! HELP! What's wrong here?

GoTravel, you rule! I now understand what happened: Cat pressed Control key while I was scrolling away with the mouse wheel, and hey presto, everything got big and bold. It's back to normal now, many thanks to you.
(Cat is a Texan, so Big and Bold may just be his "prefurred" style...heh heh.)
Steve, you may want to check out text size in Internet Explorer: drop down View and click on Text Size, where you can choose from Small, Medium, etc. That worked for me once...good luck, and thanks again, everyone!

Damn Cats! I used to have one that would jump up on my art table and walk across paintings I was working on while the paint was still wet, and one time he layed on it. They were watercolors and you can not stand them upwright just in case you were wondering. No Command+scroll could fix them. The painting that is.

jor, it sounds like you were trying to stifle the creativity of your cat.

Ok, now that the bold text is fixed...and, btw, I like it..how about helping me with a problem.

I can no longer post to Fodors on my computer at work. Thought Fodors had banned me for talking trash, but emailed them and I'm still in. Signed in on a co-workers computer with my screen name and can't post from her computer either. Short of asking my boss...what do you suggest GoTravel and others?

You can write to me and I will post it for you
It sounds like the boss did something, no?
Or is there something to do with cookies and posting?
I hope you can get back on soon, what a bummer LOL at work all those hours and not able to ease your posting urges
Good luck

I'm not sure.

If you can get online, I don't know how they would restrict your computer.

That sounds odd.

So, maybe I will go into internet options and delete cookies and see if that helps.
Any other suggestions?
