Why Casper, WY?

I could use some tips on things to do in or near Casper, Wyoming, this weekend (Saturday noon to Monday noon). Am open to any suggestions.

I was there on a work project a couple of years ago and enjoyed walking by the river in my free time. Interesting spot.

Well, I lived there for a few years back in the mid 80's. Liked it too.

A drive up to Casper Mountain is a possibility - maybe take a hike.

Or drive out to Pathfinder Reservoir or Alcova Reservoir.

Or visit the Planetarium.

Or have a microbrew at the historic Wonder Bar.

El Jarro Mexican Restaurant still makes good green chile.

The community college has all kinds of neat things going on. Look online.
I agree with Casper Mountain. Look for deer!
Go to church.

good info, thanks. I'll spend some time at that bnb site. Thanks for the warning about the deer ;)

Apparently one thing I ought to be doing there is trout fishing.

Try the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center and if you like Italian food try Botticelli's for dinner.
