Why cannot I not get search to work
Is anyone else having troubles with forum searches not returning any results of posts past May of 2014?
I personally have posted under United States, tagged it Hawaii, and when I didn't see my own post coming back in the search results lists, I realized something was up. I checked "search full topic and replies" (my search term was "Outrigger") and searched from today to one year back. I started my topic on Dec 30, 2014 and last replied to it today, so it should have been returned in the search results list, but the last result is dated May 2014.
Prettttty sure this is operator error, but I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong for the life of me!
I can see my post and all replies under recent activity etc., but the problem is it is never returned in my searches. This has led me to realize that none of my searches are returning recent posts search results. And I don't want to ask a lot of questions about things that have already been answered in the forums, but if I don't see the recent search results returned, then how can I know the topic has already been addressed?
GRRRRRR.......

Google is our friend

Search: "site:fodors.com outrigger crazygrl"
the key is the site:fodors.com forces it to search only fodors.

J62 thanks for telling me how to do the searching with google.Tried it and it works lovely.

Very annoying, as it was reported months ago and reiterated a couple of times on this thread in Forums Help:

<I don't want to ask a lot of questions about things that have already been answered in the forums>
I wouldn't worry about that. The Hawaii forum is not that busy here. And regular participants are a mellow bunch. No one would mind a repeat question.
