Yes. Lots to do for everyone, whether you fancy the fine arts, sports, hiking, boating, museums, US history (any period), shopping, people-watching, etc. etc. Moutains and beaches readily accessible as day trips.

Boston is a great city, especially for those early american history buffs. Lots of other things to do as well.

I love Boston. Have only been there 3 times and love it. I hope I have enough money in 10 years and that my kids want to go to school there....there's such an intelligent, funky, creative, cool, artistic yet historic air. It's expensive but's its a northern city with brick buildings and ivy and famous universities everywhere and northern architecture and museums and nature.....I love it. I'm stuck in Miami so imagine? I don't think I'd want to live there in the winter but everyone other season defintitely. Plus everything you learned about in school happened there. That's just my personal opinion. They talk kinda fun also.

Noplace is perfect. I live near Boston and all the raves on this board about Boston help me see it in a new light - we all can become blind to wherever we live. It would be easier to answer your question if you could give maybe 4 places you really like and 4 you detest. Than all of us very vocal Bostonians will give you more opinions than you really want!
