Bugswife

Are you at the NYC NRA show too? We've gone to that in the past. I'm impressed that you're with DiRoNA being the mother of a certified foodie (and married to one!)

ME!!
I cook, I don't chef!
However in my small part of the world it's difficult to find certain ingredients.

John, are you in MT? We have to drive 90 miles to Helena to buy good artisan bread. It's a nice place to live, but finding good ingredients can be difficult!

Now you got me thinking about Helen's chocalate covered huckleberry cordials. We've tried others but her's are the best hands down.

I really love Emeril, Alton, and yes, Paula Dean.

Sometimes, I would rather have a nice home cooked southern style dish of red beans and rice over a fancy dinner.

ah4sail - I am at EVERY food show, unfortunately. They can be a bit exhausting and I want to throw up when I get home. The upside is that I can get a reservation pretty much anywhere I want, whenever I want.
Is your son a chef, and if so, at what restaurant? I will put him on the mailing list if you want.

I really find Ereril and Alton to be weird (just my opinion). I agree Giada cannot eat anything else except what she eats on tv too.

Paul and her boys are a hoot, love them! But my son is still my favorite chef
