If we're using the Stanford-Binet scale, about 30 points higher than yours.

When I'm traveling abroad and people ask where I'm from I say that I am an American. I was born in the USA to parents originally from different countries. But that answer appears to be untrue to the person asking. I can't be, they say. Because they say I look like I'm from country "ABC" or "XYZ." No I'm not an American at all I'm told outside of my homeland! And in my homeland, those friends/family from mother's side ABC say I'm not ABC, I'm XYZ. And those from father's side don't define me as XYZ, but ABC. So I guess whatever I think I am, someone will always think otherwise, so I just pray I don't get asked.

Do you guys have nothing better to argue about? We solve it all by calling ourselves Californians---everyone seems to understand that. Now, maybe if you go to the Baja..............?

Hey, BeyondHelp, perhaps you've not noticed that this board may possibly be attempting to become more civil ... which means we all make an effort to avoid gratuitous shots at one another. Of course, if you wish to take another tact, that's up to you, but others will treat you in kind. Hopefully you'll elect to keep it positive and travel oriented. Have a good one. Ciao

Sorry, Bozo, but I believe you asked, did you not?

Bozo? Hmmmm. Perhaps a memory failure. Try August 20, for the latest amazer. It's not too late to have a good day, so ciao.

Hey Maria.
Great song it is. One of the best musicians in a century is mister Berstein.
As somebody said above, all the languges known by me translate American directly, but some of them are able to say the word in both ways:
Spanish:
- Americano Estadounidense Norteamericano.

I have tried this web site 'http://www.freetranslation.com/'
and from Spanish to English the translation was 'Estadounidense=American', but in the other sense, from English to Spanish the result was 'American = El americano'.
Of course, if you try with German, French..., the result will be the one said by somebody above.

Finally I'd like that everybody will be polite (someone in the forum must be ungry, and there is no reason for it)
