When I'm traveling abroad and people ask where I'm from I say that I am an American. I was born in the USA to parents originally from different countries. But that answer appears to be untrue to the person asking. I can't be, they say. Because they say I look like I'm from country "ABC" or "XYZ." No I'm not an American at all I'm told outside of my homeland! And in my homeland, those friends/family from mother's side ABC say I'm not ABC, I'm XYZ. And those from father's side don't define me as XYZ, but ABC. So I guess whatever I think I am, someone will always think otherwise, so I just pray I don't get asked.

Do you guys have nothing better to argue about? We solve it all by calling ourselves Californians---everyone seems to understand that. Now, maybe if you go to the Baja..............?
