White Plains, New York: Seeking restaurant recommendations...

...for our Westchester GTG (Saturday, June 21st, for those interested in attending).

Any suggestions for a place to have lunch would be greatly appreciated!

Thanking you in advance.

Are you limiting this to White Plains, or is Tarrytown or Mt Kisco ok?

In WP you can try Zanaro's its set in an old bank. You can rent the voult for a small party.
In Mt. Kisco Lexington Square Cafe is nice, or maybe Flying Pig, great food, maybe a bit pricy.

J62 and captbuzz, are you in the area? If so, you must attend!!

White Plains came about due to train access, but we can always transport our two Fodor friends.

Actually, we love Lexington Square and my DH thought it would be a great place for our GTG.

We went to Zanaros when it first opened and at the time we didn't like it, but maybe that has changed.

So, at this point, I suppose all ideas are welcome...but the more important question it "Are you coming????"

(Un?) fortunately I'll be traveling on a 4 week vacation during that time, so no, I won't be able to attend. My rec. was Lex Sq in Mt Kisco.

Oh, I see Lexington Square used to be Ho Yen's. Hubby and I had some very nice dates there many years ago!

Don't forget, there is also a train station in Mt. Kisco, so those folks who would take the train to W.P. (Harlem Line) could get to Mt. Kisco, too. I'd be more than happy to do pick ups from the train station to whatever restaurant we pick. I do have a 7 seat "mom-mobile" mini van.

Hi, we (Mr. owlman too) should be able to attend, as of now, we'll be here.

Lazy Boy Tavern in WP gets pretty good reviews for pub grub, or La Mandas for brick oven pizza and other Italian food?

If it's easier to make arrangements at Lexington Square that's ok too, coming from Tarrytown, all the highways are at our disposal!

Another vote for Zanaro's. Took DD and 2 of her friends there when I was visiting and it was very good.

If WP is easy then Laguna on E.Post
is very nice ,even Outback might do.
Nice bar in Outback.
IMHO the Lazy Boy's food leaves much to be desired.

I know you're asking for White Plains suggestions, but if you're open to other towns I would like to suggest Bronxville.

There are a few choices in this town which is also accessible by train from NYC.... Rosie's Bistro Italiano and Underhills Crossing come to mind.
