Which would u choose?

My future sister in law is giving us a weeks worth of her timeshare for our honeymoon. These are the choices we have on Kauai. Has anyone been to any of these? Would u recommend it?

KAUAI - hotels
The Cliffs Club, Princeville
Club Intrawest Kauai, Princeville
Hanalei Bay Resort Club, Princeville
Lawai Beach Resort, Koloa
Marriott's Kauai Beach Club, Lihue

Thanks

We have stayed at Marriott's Kauai Beach Club...It is very nice, but you do not have kitchen facilities...only a bar sink, 2 small fridges and an apt size dishwasher. It is basically 2 hotel rooms converted into a suite. The good thing is, for 1BR you have 2 baths. The resort is beautiful and centrally located on the island. Crawling distance from Duke's Canoe Club. ((d))((d))((d))
RichnPa and Sheila54 stay at the Cliffs in Princeville, so if they miss this post, you may want to search their names and send them an email.
What a wonderful wedding present. You will love Kauai! ((r))((r))((r)) And you will get lots of great advice from all the Kauai Fodorites!!

If you don't get too many replies, you can re-phrase your question with something like "Which Kauai Accomdation?" or do a search on any of these properties. I've seen all discussed here, except the first two. A search on all will probably do you the best.

I have honeymooned at the (3 star)Hanalei Bay Resort in northern Kauai in 2002, it is in a beautiful lush setting with inspiring ocean and tropical mountain views. We found the condo units there to be much nicer than the hotel rooms. The HBR is adjacent to the Princeville Hotel (5 star rating), and shares the same beach. I recommend the condo units at HBR and visiting the many restaurants within the adjacent Princeville Hotel. Congratulations! ((R))

sept04, you should post this on the hawaii board and you will get so many answers you will be totally confused!!!!

As Iceeu2 said, I have stayed at the Cliffs Club this past April. We had a full kitchen and two baths in our one bedroom. It was a convenient location on the north shore and we enjoyed our stay. There is no access to the beach but it isn't a long drive to find one. Hope this helps.

I really don't think you can go wrong with any of those choices 'cuz you're on Kauai!

"A full kitchen"!?!?!?

Mrs Kal told me one time to take her somewhere she's never been before for our anniversary...So I told her "How 'bout the kitchen"?!?!?

"Crawling distance"? Hmmmmm. Where have I heard that term used b4? ;)

I hate a 4-day work week. Seems like it has been 8 days!
Ahhhhh...180 and I won't even remember how to spell my name. Heck...in 60 mins. I won't either!
Kauai no ka oi!
Kal

First, don't get confused. There is no Hawaii board. You're in the right place here for your question, but I do agree you may want to post it with Kauai in the title.

I can't help with the specific properties but some things to take into consideration are
location-north shore (Princeville) vs south (Lawai & Lihue)
on the beach vs drive/walk to beach

I forgot to add that Cliffs Club's units each have a washer/dryer - very convenient with beach towels, etc. That may not be important to you but I hate to go home with tons of laundry to do.

sept04...sorry, if i misled you into thinking there was a Hawaii board...What I meant to say was post it in the Hawaii topics!

Sheila 54, do you remember which unit # you stayed in??? I am currently checking into #4-207....Any ideas about that?
