Which vegas hotels offer most comfort
Which Vegas hotel would you choose for cleanest rooms, best beds and lowest noise level? We want to enjoy the Strip but will have a rental car so we're going for comfort over location. Where do you recommend we stay for a good night's sleep? Also, if we have to drive to the strip how is the parking?

The Strip is a mess to drive, it will literally be quicker to walk (or take the Tram). Stay on the Strip, forget the rental. Oh, & who sleeps in Vegas ? The Wynn or Bellag. Any price points we need to worry about ?

Kind of thought the strip driving would be an issue. Car - need one since we're leaving for Zion-Bryce-GC the following day. Sleep - wish I could say that we'll be partying all night but we will be recovering from traveling and preparing for hiking so sleep will be a requirement at some point. We get in at 11 a.m on a Saturday and leave the next day for the parks so we really don't have tons of time to explore the strip. Basically, we'll take in a few sights, enjoy a good meal and hopefully get in a hand or two of blackjack. Would like to keep the cost under $250 for the night so that rules out Bellagio and Wynn but there must be a pillow-top mattress out there for that price?!

I've never paid more than $150/night for Mandalay Bay which was fine to great. The Wynn once in a while goes as low as $199/night.

The Wynn has to be the most comfortable place I've stayed. No one can beat the comfort for the customer service.
My second choice would be The Venetian. I loved my room and didn't feel like I ever had to leave the hotel. Mandalay Bay is wonderful and the wave pool is fun, but it is on one end of the strip. I've never stayed at the Bellagio. |
We often need a rental car in Las Vegas for my husband's work and find the Westin Casuarina (sp?) to be a great location. Parking is free and since it is a small property -- close by. It is just off the strip so you can get in and out easily without having to navigate the Strip yet I can walk to shopping and spas while he is out working. You can walk over to MGM to catch the tram. It is not a casino per se, though they have the few requisite slot machines and tables in the lobby, so it is not too difficult or tiresome to get in and out of. And of course the Heavenly Bed!

Thanks for the tips. I've checked out tons of deals, discount codes and websites but there seems to be some event that's driving up rates for the night we'll be there (March 29th). We'll be back in town at the tail end of our trip the following Saturday and rates are lower then. I'll do some more digging and can hopefully get a decent rate at one of the places you all recommended.

For comfort the best rooms I have stayed in are at the Venetian and the new Palazzo. Less expensive is the MGM, very comfortable mattresses on their beds. I have photos from my last vacation in February of my rooms at the MGM and Palazzo on my blog. Here is the link:http://lasvegasfun.blogspot.com/
Have a great vacation!! |
It's often hard to get a room for just a Saturday night, a lot of hotels will only accept Fri & Sat. I wouldn't worry too much about the noise level as I've never stayed in a Vegas room that wasn't well insulated from the Strip noise. Traffic on the strip is a nightmare on Sat evening however.
GoldCoastCasino.com has recently renewed rooms and free shuttle back and forth to the strip about a mile away. Westins are famous for their beds so that's another good suggestion. Planet Hollywood is run by Sheraton and they usually have the sleep comfort beds. However, you're probably going to have more fun than you imagine running around and seeing the Strip , and will be wondering, as you head for bed at 4am, why you worried so much about your room and the mattress. |
We like the suites at The Venetian and noise has never been an issue either.

The Signature would perfectly fit the bill...lovely, comfortable rooms that are extremely soundproof.

I've stayed at the El Rio several times and have never been disappointed.
