Which Vegas Hotel: Mirage or Aladdin?

It seems that both are located relatively mid strip. Any preferences?

Have stayed at both. I think I liked our room at Mirage slightly better, but our bath at Aladdin much better. Although the room at Mirage was apparently upgraded.
I like the location of Aladdin better -- more central for the hotels and casinos I like visiting.

By the way, I think of "the strip" as being between Treasure Island at one end and Mandalay Bay at the other. I don't really care about anything towards town from Treasure Island (soon to expand though with the new Wynn's). So I think of Mirage as very near the end of "the strip" or at least the part I care about.

Mirage...the pool is awesome and the atmosphere is very cool

Is the Mirage on the tram route? Otherwise, the Aladdin has the much better location. - And the shopping there is great.

If you're going when the weather's warm enough to swim, stay at the Mirage--one of the top three pool areas in Vegas.

We go to Vegas often and I prefer the Mirage over Aladdin, however the Aladdin bathrooms are awesome (huge). If you have a car the parking garage at Aladdin is far far away, you must walk the entire length of Desert Passage Mall to get to hotel. Mirage parking is right behind the hotel.

Both hotels have a good location, and I agree with Patrick about that. Mirage is also closer to Fashion Show Mall (which is across St. from Treasure Island and Wynn's),if you care about that sort of thing. Mirage pool is way better then Aladdin too. The bathrooms in standard Mirage rooms are a little small, but there is a vanity area outside which makes up for that I think.

The Tram is not particularly useful for many hotels, it runs way back from the strip and you must walk a good distance to get anyplace. Frankly, I'd just walk between hotels (that is what we do) and forget the tram. If you stay center strip you will be fine for walking anyway.
