which nyc hotel?

Need advice on where to stay for New years weekend.
Deciding between the Royalton in thier alcove suite,Barclay in a one bedroom suite,le meridian in a junior suite,Morgan in a one bedroom suite.
My first choice seems to be the Royalton and would appreciate everyones opinion.

I guess it really depends on what you're doing for the night Cindy ;) If you're planning on going to dinner/party inside the hotel, that's one scenario. If it's a place just to sleep and you're doing something else, begs the question what and where. I noticed the Casablanca has a package and they claim you can see the ball drop from their rooftop.

Thanks mclaurie,
We will probably meet friends for dinner so the new years eve festivities at the hotel does not matter.I will check out Casablanca but since I am from the city, well almost LI,being rigt in Times Square is not my first choice.

The Morgan has lovely rooms, and a very very nice location.

If it's just a place to stay and you don't care about TS, I wouldn't pick the Royalton. Any of the others, esp. the 1 bedroom at the Morgan would be preferable to me, but I guess that's what makes horse racing. ;)
