Which New York Hotel has smaller rooms?

Which hotel has smaller rooms -- The Paramount or the Hudson?

The difference is negligble.

I once saw a room at the Hudson that a friend stayed in, called us and said, "hey, you've got to come see this." You could literally touch the two side walls at the same time -- roughly 6 feet across, a single bed with about a little over a foot of space on each side. At the foot of the bed there was about a foot and a half, so the room itself was roughly 6' X 8', the size of a standard walk-in closet. There was no closet, only a couple of hooks on the side wall where you could hang something up.

Haven't stayed at the Hudson, but my Paramount stay was not only small -- it was unclean even after repeated calls to front desk and housekeeping. Once was enough for me in that hotel.

I stayed at the Paramount and the room wasn't as small as described above for the Hudson, but do you know that you have different size rooms based on what you pay? There are different categories of rooms, so you can't make one statement about every room.

At the Paramount, I think I had the size room one up from the smallest. They are pretty clear on room size and pricing, just ask them what the size of the room is -- I did. The room I had was typically small, but not claustrophobic and fine for one person. I would guess it was about 9x11, but then an area from the main room to the door was an "aisle", so to speak, and the bathroom was off that. I don't remember the closet arrangement. The main room even had room for a very small table and chair between the bed and window. I didn't have any problems with service or cleanliness, but this was several years ago. I liked the hotel fine.

Family members just stayed at the Paramount. Tiny room, teeny tiny bathroom. They knew to expect "small" but had no idea a hotel room could be THAT small.

Hey, we should add this question to the thread about the questions that have never been asked on this board - "At which hotel in NYC can I find the smallest rooms?"
