Just seen on Playbill the announcement of Violet with Sutton Foster.
We appreciate her a lot in all but one of the musicals we saw her (+++ in Millie, Chaperone and Anithing goes, less in Little wimen).
2 questions
How is Violet ?
Has someone seen the Encores 2013 production ?

monpetit, I haven't seen Violet, but saw a few blogs where people raved about the Encores production and hoped it would go to Broadway. The only advance negative I've read is "isn't she a little old to play that role?"

Meanwhile, Violet has a very good pedigree. VIOLET opened off-Broadway for a limited run at Playwrights Horizons on March 11, 1997. It won the Obie Award, Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Musical and the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Musical.

I saw Violet at encores and it was awesome. A Gentleman's Guide will definitely win its share of Tonys. Watch the movie Kind Hearts and Coronets to get a feel for the plot.
