Which island - when - QUESTIONS!
 

Okay - you guys helped us out A LOT with our honeymoon to Jamaica (it was FABULOUS - stayed at Swept Away for 2 weeks and loved every minute)... now we are thinking of going to Hawaii for our anniversary (or sometime between July and September). I have been to the big island and would like to have more of an escape/private vacation. It's just the two of us, no kids. I thought maybe Maui, but we'd like a more private place, ON THE BEACH. Don't want to spend a LOT of money, but we're not necessarily scrimping!

Anyway, I'd love input on what island/hotel/ beach, etc. seem to the the best or favorites. Thanks!!! (Oh, and if anyone knows about the Bahamas as an alternative choice, I'd love to know about that too!).

July and August are definitely family times in Hawaii. I would plan your trip for late August or Sept. The weather is good that time of year and summer vacation is over.

Have been to Kauai twice. Have you ever checked into the Secret Beach cottages? I recently saw a post on this place and it looks great!!

I agree with both of the above posts. Forget the Bahamas - so "yucky" compared to Hawaii in my opinion.

Kauai but not during Dec/Jan because there are 2 crazy people from California who go over at that time and bug everyone.
