Which Hyatt in Key West??

So does anyone have an opinion on which Hyatt I should make reservations for? Thanks for any help

Definitely the Hyatt Regency Resort and Marina. The other one is at a very busy intersection (BUSY!!!) and you'll have to drive top get anywhere. The Resort and Marina is within walking distance to everything and anything you want to do.

Key West Resort and Marina that Barb mentioned is the only Hyatt in Key West that is part of the company's hotel division. There are two others if I'm not mistaken, but both are part of the time share division of Hyatt. I'd definitely stay at the resort, nice hotel in a terrific location.

You've been given great advice. The Hyatt on Front Street is in a perfect location within walking distance of the sunset celebrations, restaurants, and tourist activities. There are 3 other Hyatts in Key West (the last just recently opened up on the Atlantic near the airport), but as Olive says, they're all part of the timeshare division. If you're interested in a timeshare unit, look at the Hyatt Sunset Harbor which is in Old Town and gets good reviews.

Actually, there are three other "Hyatt's" in Key West. OliveOyl has the correct name for the Hyatt Resort and a good description of the Hyatt properties. Barb is right about the walking distance to everything from the resort which is located on Front St. and across from Alonzo's Oyster Bar and the A&B Lobster House restaurants, which I recommend for lunch or dinner. The other three properties are Hyatt's timeshares owned by Hyatt and Spottswood Companies, Inc. who also manage all three properties in Key West. All three timeshare properties are in the Hyatt Vacation Club program: Hyatt Sunset Harbor Resort - located at 200 Sunset Lane and right in the heart of Old Town as is the Hyatt Resort & Marina and a beautiful view of sunsets and the Florida Bay (Gulf), Hyatt Beach House Resort - located at 5051 Overseas Highway or US 1 (bayside) as you come into Key West city limits or the east side of Key West close to the golf course and the newest Hyatt Windward Pointe Resort - located at 3675 South Roosevelt Blvd. (A1A) directly across from the Atlantic ocean and next door to Benihana Steaks & Seafood restaurant and very close to Smathers Beach. The last two properties are not close to Duval St., but have great views of the Florida Bay and the Atlantic. All properties are five star accommodations and are expensive. The price range is from $200 - $500 per night. You don't have to belong to the Hyatt Gold Passport program to rent one or two bedroom condo's from them. If you are a member you can receive a discount.

Terry,<BR> I'm glad to see someone has a good word about the Hyatt Windward Point. We're staying there - got a great deal over the internet - and we don't mind taking the shuttle bus down town. Have you stayed there?? If so, your comments please

I stayed at the Hyatt marina and it was very nice and the location was hard to beat.
