Which Hotel...Muse, Michelangelo or Sofitel??
We are going to NYC for the weekend in October. Comparing all the discount web sites, we can get a room at all of these for about $210 to 240 a night. Which of these hotels would you choose taking into consideration...location, room, service etc.
Thanks for any help. |
I've stayed at the Michelangelo several times, and I recommend it highly. The location (at 51st Street and 7th Avenue) is excellent for the theater district, Rockefeller Center, and an easy walk to the East side as well as up to Central Park.
The hotel feels like a friendly European boutique hotel, and I think the price you were quoted is excellent. Continental breakfast in the morning is a plus, also. |
Ditto to what Travel Fan wrote.

Ditto again on the Michelangelo. An easy, quiet and comfortable place to stay, especially if you prefer a decent sized room.

Yet another voice in the chorus. The Michaelangelo is a wonderful property.

I have to agree also!! Great location--beautiful well sized rooms.

Stayed at the Michaelangelo (formerly Hotel Taft) for New Year's 2002. Very large rooms, nice cozy bar and has a Mezzannine! Good location, side streets are less noisy at night than the avenues.

I haven't stayed at the Michaelangelo. I have seen its lobby, and I was impressed.
But the Sofitel on 44th is my fave. I won't stay anywhere else when I'm in NYC. |
You can get Sofitel for $179/Day for October! Call NOW!!
