Which has a better pool for kids, JW Marriott or World Center Marriot

Hello,

We are planning a trip to Disney again and are trying to decide between:

JW Marriott
Marriott World Center
Hyatt Grand Cypress (not heated pool)

We are looking for a GREAT pool where we can enjoy it together as a family. I also want lush surroundings. We really loved the Hyatt Grand Cypress, but their largest pool (which has the grottos, waterfalls & such) is not heated in April.

Any recommendations for our family? Our daughter is 6 years old.

Thank you kindly.

Susan

Both Marriotts are excellent.
I deem JW more lush.
World Center is closer to Disney World, usually more families.
JW shares with the Ritz. More adults attending conferences.
But, not exclusively, there are families at the JW & Ritz.
JW shares a superb fitness center/spa with the Ritz.
I think you will be happy with either decision.

Thank you!
Is the walk to the Ritz fitness center very far?

I think you will enjoy either Marriott pool scene. I was just at Hyatt not long ago & thought it paled in comparison to either JW or World Center pool areas--I think it was also under renovation if I remember correctly. I consider World Center more casual/fun & JW more serene & elegant, but still comfortable for kids/families. WC has waterfalls, slide, grotto hot tubs. JW has a great lazy river, no slide (unless I missed it?), lots of separated nooks & crannies around the pool. They are both the type of pools that you say...hmmm, do we really need to leave the hotel to go anywhere else?

The JW has one of the nicest pool areas (zero entry, lazy river, etc.). The JW and the Ritz are actually connected so the walk is just a short walk down a covered walkway.

Thank you so much.
Can I throw one more into the equation?
How does the Omni at ChampionsGate compare? Loved that place as well, but was looking for someplace new.

Susan - you are in luck. I have been to all of the pools you are considering. Out of the four choices, definitely nix Marriott World Center. It does not compare to the other pools.

The JW Marriott is the most luxurious and has a lazy river and is spread out very nicely. You do have to pay for a tube to go down the lazy river which is annoying. The walk to the Ritz is very short. I love JW Marriott. Okay, so now on to the Hyatt Grand Cypress. This pool is very unique. It has really cool grottos which I am sure the kids will get a thrill from. When you go into the grotto, there is actually a bar there for the adults. There are neat bridges that go across the pools which the kids will also like. There is a slide there too. This hotel is older and not as new as JW Marriott. The hotel is not as luxurious, but the pool is just as nice.

Okay, on to Champions Gate. I actually got married at this resort. I LOVE this pool. They have a kids section, volleyball, a lazy river (with free tubes), and a slide for the kids. They have a seperate adults pool with private cabanas if you so desire. There is a fitness center at this hotel. This hotel is very luxurious and the price is great too. The reason why the price is lower at this hotel is because it is a little farther from Disney. However, I think the hotel offers free shuttles to Disney. I am not sure about that, so please check.
