Which Grand Canyon entrance should we use coming from Santa Fe?
 
In a few weeks we will be driving from Santa Fe to the Grand Canyon. Mapquest tells me it's about 7 hours driving so with a stop for lunch I expect to arrive around 4:00. We will be spending the night at Yavapai Lodge. Would it be better to enter GCNP via the south entrance or the east entrance?

Uh, because it's a longer drive to go the other way...

Because you are driving along the rim the whole way, and can stop at the various viewpoints.
