Nice idea for a national GTG, but really, we can't get along over the internet. Small numbers, yeah, but a grand fest....dunnybrook!
I can see the newsclip at 11..."drunken crazy fodorites burndown fodorville over argument about knockoff bags in NYC"
Maybe we could SPONSOR each other's travels cross country and write about our guest fodorite....problem is I can only afford a 20 mile busride sponsorship, and there are no busses here, so you ganna have to walk. Franks and Beans at 5, and fish rule and chores apply!
R5, do you believe Faina thinks that Kal doesn't have the connections to trump that witness protection.....

I may have told this story before, but if I have just indulge me. It's about R5, who helped me tremendously and doesn't even know it.
Recently when we parked at the Atlanta airport, I replied...."Great, I can remember where me parked. Just you guys remember razzledazzle and I will remember that we parked in R5!" Now, just how clever is that for someone with such a terrible memorizer?

I do not think it would be a dunnybrook/fiasco, not at all. You would be surprised how people act differently face to face. Even phone buddies have different boundaries etc.
Sheeesh- most would be kittens compared to the tigers with claw attitude that can prevail when part of the vast cyperspace crowd.
After meeting through phone forums for a research project, I became friends with a delightful Socialist. Do I agree with him about any economic issue? No. Can he tell a good story? Yes. There would be more things in common than not. It would be great fun.
