Which Beverly Hills hotel for biz?
 

I need to go to Los Angeles for a series of meetings in Studio City. I'm looking for a comfortable, upscale 5-star hotel with excellent service that's convenient to Studio City. I especially need 24-hour room service and friendly concierge service. I usually stay at Ritz-Carlton properties but none in LA are conveniently located (or so, it seems).

My husband may also join me at the tail end of the trip so we can enjoy a day or two in the California sunshine.

I'm considering the following hotels. Any comments?

Beverly Hills Hotel
Hotel Bel Air (in Bel Air and not Beverly Hills)
Four Seasons
Raffles L'ermitage Beverly Hills
Regent Beverly Wilshire
The Peninsula

I've stayed at the Beverly Hills Hotel, and loved it. Pretty room, gorgeous bathroom, lovely surroundings. The Polo Lounge is fun for a drink. All in all, a beautiful place.
Raffles looks very nice from the outside, as does the Regent (good location for walking BH). From the outside, the Peninsula didn't look too impressive to me.
And I'm sure the Bel Air is wonderful.
Don't think you really go wrong with any of these hotels!

The Peninsula.
For business, service, privacy, the whole package, you can't beat it.
There are few cities in which the Four Seasons can be topped in these areas. In BH, the Peninsula does.
It's been rated the top business hotel in California by many.

None of those hotels are very convenient to Studio City. Fly into Burbank and stay at The Graciela. Well worth giving up 1-star for the time that it will save you in traffic. 5 minutes from Burbank airport and 5 minutes to Studio City.

The Beverly Hills Hotel is the closest to Studio City in driving time -- about 20 minutes over Coldwater Canyon Drive. I make this drive often from my office in B.H. to my mom's house in the Valley. You'll be driving "against" the traffic (most people will be coming the opposite way), so it should be stress-free. Staying in any of the other properties mentioned will add 10-15 minutes to your drive.

If driving time and logistics are not an issue, the Hotel Bel Air is the best on the list.
