Which B&B on Kauai?

We are going to Kauai in May and are wondering where a great B&B or Cottage may be. We don't want a big resort an think a B&B might be nice and quiet. Please Help. Thanks Tonya

Hi Tonya -

We are regular visitors to Kauai, as we own timeshare on both sides of the island. We've never stayed there, but from all I've seen, heard, and read, Gloria's B & B in Poipu is supposed to be fabulous. It only has 3 BRs, which makes it all the more private, and it fronts the water, so you can see great sunsets from there. They may even have a website, i.e. maybe www.glorias.com. In any case, look into this one! Good luck!
I agree Glorias B & B is about the nicest my husband and I have ever stayed in. Gloria and Bob are great, the view is great, the sound of the ocean is wonderful and they have good breakfasts. I would highly recommend it. It is worth every penny.

I have been to Kauai 3 times and am planning a 2 week stay next summer. Have found what looks and sounds like a fantastic rental. It is a separate cottage from the owners home and they bring breakfast to your cottage every morning. Very light and airy, Japanese Furo Soaking Tub for 2, tropical garden surrounding the rental with Japanese Waterfall. Also, full kitchen and A/C, as well as washer and dryer. 2 block walk through Poipu Kai to Poipu Beach Park. email me privately for the website.

Pick up the book" The Ultimate Kauai Handbook", full of info on hotels, condos, and B&B's. here is one number to try from that book. Bed and Brakfast Kauai 1-800-822-1176. Info claims they know all the B7B's on the island and can guide you in the right direction. I have an article of my personal favorite interests on the island. I go every year. Drop me a line if interested and I'll send it...no charge.

We stayed at a wonderful "inn" in Kauai called Marjorie's Kauai Inn. It is very similar to a B & B but without the breakfast. Marjorie is a top notch host and will give great recommendations. Accommodations were great and very affordable. I have to agree that Gloria's is wonderful because it is right near the beach, however, Marjorie's inn sits atop a hill with one fantastic view of the countryside and sunset. You decide.
