Which are The Best Luaus?
This winter we make our first trip to Hawaii spending several days on each of three islands: Oahu, Big Island, and Maui.
We want to go to a luau with exceptional food, atmosphere, and entertainment.
Any suggestions?

We did the Old Lahaina Luau on Maui, and it was a lot of fun. They roast an entire pig, have hula dancers, serve drinks, etc. It's a nice setting right on the water.
Feast at Lele is also very popular. I'd make reservations before your trip because both of these book up pretty quickly.

Maui- either OLL or Feast are very good, better than the standard hotel luau.
The best luau food I ever had was at the Mauna Kea luau on The Big Island. However, it's currently closed because the hotel is undergoing earthquake retrofit. I would recommend that for TBI, if the hotel is open when you go.

Polynesian Cultural Center on Oahu is by far the best Polynesian entertainment in Hawaii.
On Maui, Drums of the Pacific has the best fire knife dancer on Maui. Feast at Lele is also good. Old Lahania Luau does not have a fire knife dancer.
