Which airline do you use...

... to get to the Hawaiian Islands?

We went on Aloha and loved it, but we were wondering which other ones you seem to find good deals at. We live in Northern California, and we looked at Delta flights. All of them have a 2-4 hour layover at Salt Lake City! *sigh*

Thanks.

ATA flies out of Oakland to Maui, Honolulu and Hilo. You get good value for your money.

From CA, we've flown UA, AA, NWA and Hawaiian to Hawaii. We go every year. Our favorite? Hawaiian...hands down. Why?
1. Most comfortable seats
2. Friendliest service
3. Best food (caveat - it's never good)
4. They know the spirit of Aloha

We fly first class and have flown first class on each of the aforementioned airlines to Hawaii. Hawaiian was the best in every way. More questions? Feel free to ask.

We have used Aloha for all our recent travels to HI. Before that we tried ATA but we were not satisfied.

I used to fly Aloha until ATA came to Hilo. No more layover in Honolulu, get to Oakland in time for dinner, leave Oakland in the evening. Service and food aren't as good as Aloha or Hawaiian but just to cut out that layover is worth even bad service for only 4.5 hours!

When we fly to the USA from Antwerp Belgium we usually try to get a direct flight. This year we'll fly with United Airlines from Brussels to Washington DC. In the past we flew with KLM/Northwest-Martinair-American Airlines from Schiphol airport Amsterdam.Paul

You may want to check out www.seatguru.com for the configuration of the airplanes. I flew Continental and they did offer individual tv monitors in coach. This helped for the long flight. They served cheeseburgers (free). American Airlines has food for purchase in coach. On my last flight (Oakland to Dallas) they sold blueberry muffins for $2.

Tried them all out of SF before Hawaiian opened up flights from Sacramento to Kauai via Honolulu.

Fly them exclusively to Kauai now. While I miss the United non-stop from SFO to LIH I really like the planes and service HI Air runs.
133 mo' days.

It depends on where I am going, and whether I fly out of Grand Rapids, Chicago or Detroit. Mostly NWA though - they usually have the best deals from here.
