Where's the Bear?

So I guess the dead bear thread has gone to Fodor's Valhalla. And yet the cockroach one lives on. Decisions, decisions, decisions...ah the trials of a Fodor's editor.

Well, the road thread is about LUGGAGE, so it's travel-related.

Anonymous Oct 26th, 2005 11:23 AM

Er, road --> roach

GoTravel Oct 26th, 2005 11:24 AM

I went downstairs to buy lunch. Did the bear thread get nasty?

OO Oct 26th, 2005 11:27 AM

It had potential. Armed gangs were taking sides! :)

hdm Oct 26th, 2005 11:29 AM

So I take it that some wanted to bear arms while others wanted to arm bears?

kireland Oct 26th, 2005 11:32 AM

Apparently the line is drawn at criticizing parents who let their children play with guns (ironic since I think I've seen posters suggest shooting noisy children on overseas flights!)

LLindaC Oct 26th, 2005 11:36 AM

Actually, I thought PETA was getting ready to jump in. Besides, most of us have far more experience with cockroaches in hotel rooms than bears. ;-)

Kath Oct 26th, 2005 12:07 PM

No, Smokey and the Bandit.

JJ5 Oct 26th, 2005 12:10 PM

I've seen a Chicago Bear and talked to each in person several times, including Walter Payton. Does that count?

I knew better than to get involved with that one.

Kal Oct 26th, 2005 12:18 PM

I'm a' bare on Kauai...that count? ((H))

FainaAgain Oct 26th, 2005 12:28 PM

I think the dead bear thread was unBEARable

sunbum1944 Oct 26th, 2005 12:50 PM

In Oregon they just found a 150 lb bear living as a pet in a private home -
apparently the owners let the bear wander around the house freely -
Weirder than weird -
bear has now been removed from home

P_M Oct 26th, 2005 12:56 PM

I think the dead bear thread was emBEARassing.

Perhaps the NRA is a donor to the board?
