Where2eat in Ocean City, MD?

Ok, hubby and I have decided that O. City will be our vacation spot in July. Can anyone recommend some "outstanding" Seafood restaurants in the area? Thanks in advance.

If you and hubby would like a great breakfast - try Bayside skillet - it's north of 60th street -probably closer to 75th or 80th and their breakfast are truly great!! Of course, it's on the Bay side right on Coastal Highway.

The BEST and only restaurant in my opinion in OC is Galaxy Bar near 68th Street I beleive... Family owns a condo there so we go every summer for weeks and we go there several times... Everything else is really plain,non-gourment, all you can eat type stuff, which we don't enjoy...

When we want a sit down place for crabs, we usually go to Higgins for crabs. It may not be the best place for crabs, but it is good, & the service is good, & we like the atmosphere, & not overly expensive, or a very long wait to be seated. When we want take out crabs to bring back to the condo to eat, we go to a place for which I cannot remember the name (I will remember when we go there this summer), but it is at about 127th & Coastal highway. The steamed crabs there were excellent (we get the medium). We have been to Phillips a couple of times, & it is good, but unless you hit it right, you could be in for a long wait to be seated. The only time we were able to walk right in for supper & sit down was a few years back, when we were there a couple days after hurricane warnings went through.

For fine dining, try Fager's Island (not the regular dining room). It's costly, but there's a beautiful bay view, excellent food and outstanding service. The Hobbit is also very nice.

Forgot to mention Harpoon Hanna's. Good food. But depending upon when you go, it may be a wait to get seated, as is just about anywhere in OC.

We found some of the best crabcakes at Nick Adonis House of Ribs! We've been going for over 20 years and they have awesome crabcakes and wonderful ribs. Other great spots for seafood (they're up near or in Fenwick) are Fenwick Crab House and Warrens (they have good homecooking as well).

Does anyone know where a good italian restaurant is? What about awesome pizza?

For something different: the "Salmon Seafood" (grilled salmon with a shell fish white sauce) for $16 at the Cactus Cafe, five miles down Deleware's Route 54 from Fenwick! Or their similar Grouper Griego.

Also "Reflections" in the 66th St Holiday Inn. Table side gourmet cooking! Unexpected elegance.

[Have owned a condo in OC for 30 years.]

Windows by the Bay. Hobbit. Reflections. Nantucket. Haven't been to O.C. for a while so I don't know if any of these might have closed since.
