Where to take family for 50th anniversary in southeast
I am looking for a place to take my entire family for my 50th anniversary in 2015. There would be a total of 21 of us. We all live in the atlanta area so we would want it to be no further than 10 hour drive. We are considering doing a cruise however the cost may be to much. There would need to be lots of stuff for all the grand kids to do ages will range from 2-21) the trip would take place in late may, june or july. Any ideas?

Wow, congratulations! That's so great.
Charleston and the nearby beaches might be nice. You could go on a harbor cruise one evening, take the kids to the Children's Museum, eat some great food. How long is your stay?

You could go beach or mountains - pretty much the whole Southeast would be <10 hours from Atlanta. Charleston (surrounding area - Kiawah/Seabook, Isle of Palms, etc) or Outer Banks for beach, or Myrtle Beach if that's your thing; the Smokies/Blue Ridge or somewhere near Chattanooga for mountains, maybe.
When you say "resort", do you mean somewhere very nice or all-inclusive, or just that you don't want to rent a house or cabin and do your own cooking at all?

Litchfield/Pawley's Island/Garden City.
Have you looked at the Atlantis in the Bahamas as an all inclusive? There are several levels and friends who have gone LOVED it.
When DH's parents did this for the same reason, they found a house at Ocean isle that had 7 bedrooms and 7 baths--and each had a private entrance!! Perfect for what we needed.
There is a house at Ocean Isle we rented a couple of years ago that also had 7 bedrooms, nice common area, great gazebo on the beach--about $4000/week. Also perfect.
There are houses at Litchfield by the Sea that would sleep that many. Plenty to do in the area.
Look at a Club Med all inclusive.
