Where to stay with two teen boys

Where is the best place to stay on the strip with two teens, ages 16 and 20? They have never been to Vegas so I want to be centrally located. They would like good rides, a good pool, maybe a show? Any ideas?

MGM GRAND has four nice pool areas and is surrounded by hotels with arcades, rides etc. Don't take their cheapest rooms as they are tiny. They used to be called the "Emerald" rooms but i'm not sure what they call them now.

I would take a look at Monte Carlo or perhaps NYNY in addition to MGM. NYNY regular rooms are rather small but MC's are good and reasonable.

Go for the rollercoaster at NYNY for the boys.

All the above are somewhat South Strip (which is not negative IMHO). Center strip: Bally's has good sized rooms and Flamingo is a good deal as well. Paris is a step up as is Mirage at a higher price.

I have two teenagers (16 and 18 yrs.), and we stayed at the Venetian. They have suite-style rooms, so there is plenty of room. We all love the "Cirque du Soleil" shows (Ka and O). The roller coaster at NYNY is fun. They spent an afternoon in the game place by MGM. There is a rock climbing wall that goes up to 75 feet. My daughter and I plan to see "Phantom of the Opera" again when we go this summer.

Kiwi: I saw Phantom there last December - and have seen it a few times prior and honestly - it was the best one... I was surprised. Enjoy! The Ventian is our favorite hotel by far.
