Where to stay south of Grand Teton Nat'l Park

After staying in Jackson we need to book two nights before our stay in GTNP. What towns or areas are interesting or beautiful within a 3 hour drive from Jackson? Where might we stay?

Not sure what your trip itinerary is. You say you're staying in GTNP but that is right next to Jackson.

Are you going to Yellowstone too?

If you are not going to Cody, I would recommend it. It's a great town with very interesting museums. There's also a nightly rodeo in summer months.

Another interesting town is Pinedale. There's some great scenery nearby and also an interesting museum.

Continuing my post of 7/3 at 4:08 PDT:
Day 9 we're confirmed at Chico Hot Springs
Day 10 overnight at Lehrkind Mansion
Day 11 fly Bozeman/Denver/LA
I've never been to this area and could use help with places to see and stay to fill in the gaps in my reservations. Thankx

Yes, it will be too bad if you have to move. Jenny Lake would be your best bet. I've never stayed there but have seen it. Beautiful!

I have stayed at Jackson Lake Lodge but I'm sure that's booked solid. There's some nice places in Moose but I've never stayed there.

Cody would be out of your way but I've found lodging there in mid-August just driving through. There are lots of places.

You really need more time in Yellowstone. Maybe a few nights at the Lake Hotel or Mammoth Hot Springs Lodge. Yellowstone is like nowhere else. We spent 6 nights and it wasn't long enough.

I love Chico Hot Springs, and am glad to see someone going there this summer. :-)

Thanks for the input. Any more advice?
