Chuck? Chuckie baby? I didn't necessarily want to be regarded as such a gentleman, but maybe this is getting run into the ground. You momen really know how to make a guy feel like mere....meat.

Johncharles, you may just have come very close to losing your gentlemanly ways. First you suggest getting pregnant at Mountain Home Inn and then a threesome at the Blackthorne! No wonder your threads have been known to disappear!!

Ah, thank you, stjohnbound. A glimmer of success is mine at last.

I want you to know there is a line I will not cross in this gentlemanliness shedding campaign. No one should get pregnant during a threesome, even in an unusually memorable hotel room.

Now it's interesting that bobludlow just brought up the Pelican Inn while we were talking about getting pregnant on the slopes of Mt. Tam. The Pelican Inn is a place which, I remember reading a long time ago, at least at that time actively promoted such efforts by hanging some sort of charm over some or all of the beds which was supposed to lead to luck in life for any child conceived beneath it. I think this was based on medieval English custom, in keeping with the Pelican's decor and theme. I never read anything on the success rates (and the jury would probably still be out on the luck in life part.)

It would be interesting to hear from someone more familiar with the Pelican Inn about whether this is still true. I also wonder if the Mountain Home's special is a conscious attempt to trump their geographically nearest getaway- inn competitor in appealing to the pregnancy market.
