Chesley,

It all depends what kind of hotel, facilities and prices as well as when you are going to see if there are any special offers.

Suggestions

If money is no object: Bellagio,Venetian
Manadaly bay very good if you get reasonable rates.
Others: Luxor, Mirage,Treasure Island,Monte Carlo, Paris

Grand Canyon trips: YES. The buses take all day which makes it very long but you can fly there also.

Shows : a matter of opinion but 'O' Sigfried & Roy , Mystere etc.

My husband and I went to Vegas this past June and had a wonderful time. We didn't know where to stay either but finally decided on the Luxor. We were so glad that we did upon arrival. It is closer to the airport. When you don't feel like going outside you can take the walking tram to the Excalibur and enjoy yourself. Krispy Creme donuts is located there (Excalibur) and it is always crowded!

This hotel isn't all that expensive and being that we are not the partying type this hotel is nice and quiet. They have a discoteque in this hotel. They say it is the best amongst the hotels. If you are looking for a fast paced stay and don't care about money, Mandalay Bay is the place. It is crowded and it is the PARTY PLACE.

Should you need any information please don't hesitate to e-mail me.
