Where to stay in Tucson- no kids
Hi,
We're planning a week in Tucson, we've been there several times, but always with kids, and always in family friendly places. NO kids (yahoo!) this time, any recommendations? We want to stay under $200 a night.
Thanks!

I have never been, but if you find a great site that lists adult-only resorts, or resorts that discourage families, please post it.
The reality today is that many parents are too cheap to shell out a few bucks to keep their "darlings" at home where they belong! They have Disney, why must they invade Las Vegas, etc. as well?
Give me the strip of yesterday, no jogging suits, rugrats on the casino floors....oh what heaven....

Hi, I don't know if you're looking for a traditional resort with spa, golf etc. but if you're not, you should look into the Lodge on the Desert. I stayed there about a year ago. The rooms are in little cottage-type buildings along stone paths. It's right in the middle of town so a pretty short drive to everything.
I think I paid something ridiculous like $69/ night but that's because it was "off season" (June and about 105 degrees every day ) Because of the season, it was pretty empty and quite peaceful.

Welcome to Tucson. If I'm not too late, I'd like to chime in with the suggestion of The Arizona Inn, a gorgeous inn from the thirties right in the middle of town. Lodge on the Desert is very nice, too, but Arizona Inn is the grand old dame. Another possibility is Hacienda del Sol, located in the Catalina Foothills. Another historic property. And there are several wonderful bed and breakfasts, which you can find on one of the B 'n B web sites.
One more possibility is a guest ranch--Tanque Verde or White Stallion are very nice.
Have a great time.
