Where to stay in Mendocino
 

We are planning a trip to Mendocino. We are looking for a nice hotel or inn or bb with oceanfront room. Any suggestions? Budget is fairly open at this time.

Maybe some clarification. The town of Mendocino sits on a bluff so there are no oceanfront rooms, as on a beach. If you zoom in on Main St. you'll see which places may have rooms with ocean views, the Mendocino Hotel being the most likely. And you can walk down the bluff to the beach. I stay at another place that doesn't sound like your style.

Or maybe you mean Mendocino County and not necessarily the town? There are likely other possibilities in that case. Point Cabrillo Light Station comes to mind, nice cottages:

I guess I mean Mendocino County. I was there years ago and stayed in an Inn overlooking the ocean.
