Where to stay in Maui?
 

I am planning my honeymoon and am a little overwhelmed by all the many places to stay! I have been looking into the Hyatt and 4 Seasons - has anyone been to either one of those places and can recommend it? Thanks!

We stayed at the Hyatt in Maui, Kauai and Oahu in October. The Hyatt Maui was nice, but we didn't love it. It is nothing compared to the Kauai Hyatt.

We've stayed in Hyatts and Four Seasons all over the U.S. Hyatt can NOT compare to Four Seasons in any way. If you want to be pampered, to be in an elegant atmosphere, have the staff call you by your name, have Evian spritzed on you as you sunbathe, be in the only five star resort on the island, then stay at Four Seasons. The difference between the two is like visiting your middle class friends in Sacramento vs. your Beverly Hills family.

The Maui Hyatt is nice, but the Four Seasons is quite a bit nicer.

Additionally, the 4S is in Wailea, which is a little more secluded, luxe, and "honeymoonish."

The Hyatt is in Kaanapali which is better if you want a lot of action around your hotel.

Gellers - they're on their honeymoon. They want a lot of action in and around their hotel...wherever they can get it.
