Where to stay in Lake Tahoe
 

Planning a trip for 6 people (mid-20s) to Lake Tahoe for a long weekend in December. Hoping to ski and gamble...Any recommendations on where to stay and what not to miss?

Try Harrahs or Harvey's in South Lake Tahoe. Both are full-on. I like Harveys a lot, great casino! DO NOT stay in Reno, it's a dump and if it snows you'll never make to the ski areas (snow removal stinks). There are some fantastic condo's on the road to Heavenly but, who wants to drive those roads after a late night of gambling & drinking soda? See ya on ze' shlopes!

We stayed at Embassy Suites and were very pleased - right downtown and would be a good place to work out of in December. If you want a view of the lake, however, get a "Superior Lake" room at Harveys.

Ridge Tahoe is on Heavenly. Take their cable car down to the lift on Nevada Side or take shuttle to California Side. Has outdoor hotubs, great views, pool, bar, restaurant. Bonus is the free shuttle to town - Stateline - takes you right to Caesers, other stops, Harrahs, etc., runs to 2am I think.

Forest Inn Suites 916-541-6655. I have not been there for awhile if you stay let me know. We stayed in a 2 bed 2bath room with kitchen. Situated in a pine forest a short walk to the casinos and a short drive to heavenly tjj

if you're not looking for luxury, may i suggest best
wester motel or some other small motel. prices are
reasonable. best eating ,heidi's or harveys buffet
are excellent. carrows is also very good.
there lots of casinos, but i give my money to harveys.party on!!!!!!
