Where to stay in Colorado

We are planning a trip in July and I cant decide where the best place to stay would be. We plan on going to Maroon Bells, Aspen, Black Canyon and Crested Butte and seeing everything in that area. Where is the best place to stay for a few days in that area? We would like to stay where there are pretty views of the mountains.

This is an answer to your title and not the message.

Estes Park and "doing" Rocky Mountain National Park.

2nd choice (very close to #1)
Durango and Mesa Verde National Park in the SW

There is a very cool place to stay near Aspen called the Redstone Inn. It is near Carbondale which is off the hwy between Aspen and Glenwood Springs (Hwy 82, I believe). Very nice restaurant, and the little town of Redstone is gorgeous with a couple shops and a bike rental. It's also near the historic town of Marble where you can hike or take a jeep tour up to the mines where the marble for many of our National Monuments came from. I think Redstone would be a great stop for a couple nights. Lots to see in the area...

I've not been myself, but my friend was just telling me that she and her DH are staying at the Redstone for the 2nd time...they LOVE it.

We also stayed at the INN, beautiful area, but highly suggest reservations in this area as there are few accomadations. When we were there, people were just coming in off the road looking for a place and everything in the small town was booked.
