Camden, Maine

We need help with lodging for one night in Camden, Maine in September. Any good suggestions close to tourism?

It's hard to tell just what you want from your short post. Budget, luxury? Couple, family? Motel, B&B? But there are plenty of previous topics on Camden and mid-coast Maine. Just put "Camden" in the search box up above and lots of recommendations will pop up.

Actually, when I put "Camden ME" in the search box, I turned up just two posts for 2010, one for 2009, and a couple for 2008...not especially current info. Maybe I just don't have "the touch!" Not meaning to hijack this thread, but since OP never replied, I'm still looking for really clean, nice, pet-free, non-smoking accomodations for $100 or less in mid Sept. Does not have to have a view as I'll be just sleeping there for several days.

We stayed at the Lord Camden Inn and it was great and the breakfast(wonderful) was included. You can walk to all the shops and restaurants from the Lord Camden Inn.

Search for Camden Maine not Camden ME.

Or just search Camden which will bring up lots of post but some about other places named Camden.

Thanks for the searching tips, clark. And nlg, the Lord Camden Inn looks great, but twice or more what I can afford. I'm looking for $100 or less, as noted. This is a challenge, but I'm hoping for current suggestions to continue. Thanks in advance to everyone.

Just stayed in that area. Does it need to be Camden? Try some of the other little towns along Rt 1. There were lots of little motels all up and down that way. We stayed in Rockland and it was really nice, but we stayed at a B&B that was above your price point. Do a search using a map of the area and find the towns north and south of Camden to then do a motel search using the town names.
