Where to Stay in Amish County

My husband and I are going to Amish Country in October and need recommendation on a place to stay. We actually would prefer a B & B or a Farm. Or even a small hotel. A nice big room is important to us.

I have found the Bird-in-Hand Village Inn a very nice facility. They have a brand new section where each room has 2 QUEEN size beds and a small refrigerator. The sitting area while a little bit on the small side, was more than adequate. There are 2 indoor pools, a game room, and miniature golf, adjacent to the hotel. Check out their website at "WWW.Bird-in-Hand.com" Good luck, though, they do book quickly.

If you want an antique experience, try the General Sutter in Lititz.

http://www.generalsutterinn.com

Amish Country in PA, OH, IN or where

We loved Churchtown Inn, in churchtown, PA. Close to all the Amish places- bird in hand, etc, but in a quiet rural area. Great Food, terrific innkeepers, and they can refer you to wagon rides, dining places, etc. No kids under 12 were allowed when we went.

Linda:

Can't recommend a farm but Rayba Acres Farm 717 687 6729 shows a picture of room in Lancaster brochure and it looks clean. It's a working dairy farm in Paradise, PA, very close to all the sites as it is a small area. If you want more farms or B&Bs go to www.padutchcountry.com or call 1-800-PA-DUTCH.

Thanks for response. It is Amish Country in Pa. I posted it under Pennsylvania. Any other suggestions for B & B's?
