Where to stay at Clearwater Beach?

we are invited to a wedding at the Sandpearl Resort, but would prefer less expensive accommodations. Anyone know of a comfortable, clean place nearby?

Miss Carol,
I live in the area and just stayed at the Clearwater Hilton, right on the beach. They recently refurbished the hotel and the amenities are very modern and tasteful. The beach is - well - the best in the world

No doubt in my mind - Sand Pearl Resort and Spa! It is absolutely gorgeous.

To another Carol!! I just stayed at Marriott Suites Sand Key in February and loved it. But a less expensive option would be a Best Western I saw, on the Clearwater side, and close to the Clearwater Beach bridge that crosses over to Sand Key. I am assuming it would be less costly.

We've stayed at the Sheraton Sand Key and found it to be very nice. Oceanfront, but the beach is wide, making the water a bit of a walk.
