The Wildlife Tour offered by the Park Service at Denali National Park. There were more than five sightings of bears when I last took that tour.

Yes. It's worth it.
try baldmountain.com for more.
or homeralaska.org

I asked similar question during my AK trip planning. Found on deja.com (now google.groups.com) a trip report of a father-daughter. Made me want to sign up. Took Flight, walked to a nearby stream, and watched for 5 hours bears catching salmon in the stream. The service found this out-of-the way place for viewing. They were the only ones there. Followed by an overnight campout.

You can also go the the National Park Service's Katmai NP. There is the Brooks Falls with a bear viewing platform. Try www.nps.gov\katm for more.

If you come to Jellystone Park, be on the look out for 2 pic-a-nic basket snatching bears name Yogi and Boo Boo.

They are not as harmless as they look.

Yes, it is worthy. Someone mentioned emeraldairservice.com which we also used. We flew to KNP from Homer. We saw maybe hundred maybe more bears in one day. We spent more than six hours in the field
