I will be visiting Arizona (specifically, arriving in Phoenix, staying in Sedona, visiting the Grand Canyon). I would like to purchase an annual Senior America The Beautiful Pass once I get to Arizona. All sites referencing these passes state that they can be purchased at "Fee Collecting National Park Service locations" however, I can't seem to pinpoint exactly which locations sell them. I see an NPS office in Phoenix, but no info on their website as to whether or not passes are sold there. And, yeah, I am frugal.I want to purchase it in person, and save the $10 processing fee.

You should be able to buy one at the Park entrance where you would pay anyway. Just tell them which pass you want.

Yes - pay when you enter the Grand Canyon (assuming that is your first NP). I'd think the Phoenix office is a regional administration center -- not a public sales point.

Why are you buying an annual pass as opposed to the lifetime pass? $20 for a year vs. $80 for your lifetime...

Well, as noted, I am trying to save $10 by purchasing it in person, so spending an additional $60 would be counter-intuitive to my whole plan here. However, they do have it set up that if I happen to purchase annual passes for four years, I can turn them in and get a lifetime pass at that point. I don't live near any parks and I don't see myself using this much more than just this trip anyway.
