Where to purchase gas near JFK?

I will be renting a car one-way to JFK. I want to avoid purchasing the tank of gas as I will use less than half of it. Is there a gas station near JFK where I can conveniently fill up; then get to the airport without much difficulty? I am coming from upstate NY and will take I-678S to JFK.

There are gas stations inside JFK as well as just outside it, but I'm not sure where they are relative to your entry. If you use mapquest.com you can get a map with gas stations in and near JFK by using their drop down menu.

Car rental return is at the Federal Circle area - right near the entrance to JFK airport area when you exit I-678. You don't really exit you just stay in the right lane at the end of I-678.

Follow signs for LONG TERM PARKING - there is a gas station right there at Federal Circle (BP I believe).

Then you'll just circle around FEDERAL CIRCLE 1min to rental car return.

www.GasPriceWatch.com
and
www.GasBuddy.com

both allow you to search for stations via a map. When I did the search you were interested in, I had no problem finding a station with RELATIVELY inexpensive gasoline within a mile or so of the airport.

Thanks, everyone, for the help. My husband wanted to pay for the tank of gas because he wasn't sure where to fill up. No need to do that now. You folks are great!
