Where to park near Haytt (Marina)?

Will will stay for 1 night in Newport in Haytt near Marina, it's Sunday night. Please let us know where we can park cheaper than in the hotel. Is possible to park on the street in that area?

Thanks,
Mariya

If this is Newport, RI.....you're a little bit out of luck because the hotel is out on Goat island, across the causeway from downtown Newport, and there is no public (free) parking out there.....even the Point section back over the causeway, is resident only after 6:00pm....you could park at the visitors center, but I don't think that it would be much cheaper overnight, and is a bit of a walk back to the hotel.

There are quite a few Hyatts near marinas all around the country. Which one do you mean? Newport (RI) did have it's own outside parking lot--I don't remember if we were charged to park there or not. Some Hyatts (my DH runs Hyatts) don't charge for parking. His Tampa hotel did not, but Dallas, Savannah and San Antonio hotels all have.

Oops, I just realized that hotel is on the Goat island. (My husband made areservation) In this case where we can park in Newport, RI to see Mansions, Cliff walk, sinagogue? We will arrive in the evening, can we do Cliff walk in the evening, so it's not too hot (it will be August 27) and maybe have dinner before going to the island to check in. What will be a good beach to go for a few hours before we will leave for Boston?
Thanks,
Mariya

Most of the mansions have their own parking areas so you could park there and do the Cliff walk too (a short walk down the streets from the mansions. There are plenty of places in town for dinner try www.gonewport.com for an overview....
