need a grocery store in williamsburg va

my daughter's lacrosse team is playing at william and mary on sunday, and we are doing a tailgate afterward, does anyone have a suggestion on where I can order a sandwich or deli platter to take to the game. either a grocery store or deli with good food?

Theres's a "Food Lion" just west of WM on Richmond Rd at corner of Monticello. I think they do platters & sandwiches in their deli. There's also a deli in the same "Williamsburg Shopping Center", but I cannot remember the name. It would be a lower numberer address, maybe something like 1200 Richmond Rd

Food Lion is a pretty basic food store and does have a deli but you'll find better quality elsewhere.
Padows (the deli rb referred to) is down Richmond Rd from the college. Its a traditional deli with a specialty in spiral hams. www.padows.com

The Cheese Shop in the historic area near the college has great sandwiches, cheese, and wine. 220-0298
Wawa is a convenience store with great hoagies etc. It is across Richmond Rd from the college. Near the stadium.

Farm Fresh is a large grocery store on Rt. 143 off Rt. 199. About 10 min from W&M. They have a large deli and will be able to do any type tray you want. 253-2302

Thanks ... Pavlov was all I could think of, & knew that wasn't right. I've used the Farm Fresh near 2nd Street & Merrimac Trail often .. nice store.

ooops! Forgot about Fresh Market, Obxgirl. Either food store would be good. Each is at different ends of W&M. If you let us know which field they are on or where you are coming from, we can give directions. I would guess Barksdale or Busch fields?
