Where to honeymoon?
I'm getting married 16 August 2002 in SC. Fiance and I are from the beach, so we want to avoid the beach and crowded areas.
Any suggestions on where we can go that's seculded for a budget of about $2000? US or otherwise...
Thanks!
Alli

I love these posts which provide all the necessary information.
Since your honeymoon is only one night long, your budget of $2000 will allow you to spend the night anywhere you wish. On the other hand if it were a month long one, even Motel 6 might get too expensive.

Charleston would be very nice. So would the North Georgia Mountains by Blue Ridge. There are some wonderful cabins that would be perfect for a honeymoon and the area is very nice. I have a couple of cabin websites for you. www.thelastresort.com

honestly...I would wait, save the money and go some place good. Do you really want to look back on a honey moon spent in the blue ridge mountains? My sister did this she does not complain about it but never looks back with wonder the way she does more dramatic destinations she has been. I have been, nice but not stunning in the way the rockies are.
If it were me and I was not comfortable leaving the U.S which would mean that I was invalid, I would head to the national parks. Look up "The Prince of Whales" in, in British Columbia.

Here are just some pictures I found that guests put on the internet.
