WHERE TO GO IN MARCH

Whats a nice place to visit for a few days in early March? I've been to Charleston too recently or I would've gone there. I live in the DC area, but intend to fly so distance isnt really an issue. I prefer historic destinations and smaller cities/towns over larger ones. Thanks

If I lived on the East Coast instead of the West, I'd go to Spain. There are all sorts of special prices from the airlines now until end of March.

This is the question you've asked:
desire a small historic city in March.

Hmmmmmmm......
Thta would narrow it down to about 100 or more cities in the US alone.
Want to provide any other clues?
Anchorage Alaska has some interesting history.
Is weather a consideration?
Santa Barbara is nice.
Is budget an issue?
Florida will be packed with spring breakers.
Is that an issue?

St. Augustine Florida could be an option. I am not sure if Spring Breakers inhabit St. Augustine. I am assuming you are seeking warmth.

New Orleans. While not a small city, the French Quarter certainly FEELS small.
