Where to go in Florida?

Hi,

We're taking 3 - 4 days off from our hectic new york city lifestyles and wanted to go someplace relaxing and warm in late april. I was thinking Florida would be nice, as we like nature - beach, hikes, etc.

I was thinking the keys, but preferably a place without families, as we're looking for something more intimate and quiet. Would you recommend the keys? A specific place?

Thanks~

In Islamorada either The Moorings or Casa Morada.

If you are willing to blow the bank, Little Palm Island.

watch out that time of year is spring break in some parts. That means loads of college students, and loads of drinking in key west. They have something called the duval crawl down there. It's basically a pub crawl of all of duval street. I personally would avoid it. Unless youre into that sort of thing.Key west also isn't great for beaches. There are nice beaches up near Ft Myers that can be wonderful.Lover's key is very nice, as is sanibel island. You can arrange a tour to check out the everglades or brave it on your own. Sanibel has a little park called ding darling that I enjoyed. But again, April can be high time.Flordia is amazing, unfortunatly April is not:(

Agree with GoTravel - The Moorings would be perfect.
