Where to go for long weekend?

We have 2 Southwest Airline tickets we need to use up before Nov. We'd like to do a 3-4-day weekend getaway. We're in Texas but are considering Northeast states - any suggestions on a great place with natural beauty? We DON'T want to go to a big city.
Thanks!

I'd go to Maine, but I'd do it in September.

Dear SusaG,
Hello! I would choose Maine as well-Ive been there in October and its truly breathtaking. Im really only familiar with Bar Harbor (where we stayed). Its a cute little town with a main street right by the water and Acadia NP. Youll certainly get plenty of natural beauty there. Its by far my favorite location on the east coast!
Have a fun and safe trip! Carrie

Manchester, NH, then head for anywhere in NH, VT, Boston, Maine - preferably in mid-late October.

Providence, R.I. and go to Cape Cod. Or Buffalo and go to Niagra Falls and maybe Toronto. Or Philadelphia.

It is too muggy and full of mosquitos in Charelston now.. Maine is beautiful as is Vermont. Take a trip down I 10 in Vermont.

Stay in a bed and breakfast in Skippack New Jersey.
Walk the little town and eat at some of the great restaurants there.

Asheville North Carolina is a wonderful place with lots of different things to do. If you want a little quieter you can rent a car and drive to Waynesville/Maggie Valley area.

DUHHHH that is Skippack Penn. NOT New Jersey. You can fly into Philly to get there.

You can also stay in Bucks County , Penn. which is a really quaint place too.
